A great day

De PC is visited by approximately ten thousand visitors for many years, most of them coming from the northern Dutch province Fryslân, but also from abroad. Many experience the PC day as a pilgrimage, searching for old roots and meeting old friends. The audience, that is sitting close to the playing field and is (therefore) feeling very engaged with the players, feels the exiting moments during the games almost personally. People like the tension of the match, but are also there for that typical PC atmosphere: it is a celebration of memories, recognition and unity, where old friends meet again. During the day the festivity gradually disperses over the center of Franeker, where it is busy and social until late at night.
