The prologue

For many people the celebration of the PC starts already two days before the PC day. This is when at Monday at 18:00 o'clock during a public session in the theatre Koornbeurs the tournament list is settled (where the players determine their own place on the list by drawing lots) and the coming of the great day becomes very tangible. However, the PC announces itself weeks, if it is not months, before the match in contemplations, the applying for tickets, and so on until it is the major subject of the day.

The last few days before the PC:

Selection at the Thursday before the PC
Of the teams that applied for the match the best 16 are selected. This happens in a private meeting between the Permanent Committee and the Technical Committee of the Royal Dutch Handball Association (KNKB).

Final test at the Sunday before the PC
At this day the last handball match before the PC is played, traditionally in Arum.
Drawing lots at Monday
During the drawing by the players, that starts at 18:00 o'clock, the theatre Koornbeurs is crowded by people.

Tuesday: The Tilting-ground is ready for the PC
In the afternoon the Sjūkelān is definitive ready for the match and many interested people come there to taste the atmosphere and to look for their seat at the tribune.

In the year 2009 the PC will take place at Wednesday July 29.
